Digital learning
At Penola High School, we are committed to leading the way in integrating digital technologies and information systems to support and enhance student learning. We believe that in the digital age, technology is vital for developing the skills necessary for success in the 21st century. To this end, every student is provided with a device to enrich their educational experience and prepare them for the future.
Embracing digital learning
Aligned with the Australian Curriculum, our aim is to deliver innovative and effective curriculum and assessment practices that improve learning outcomes for all students. Students utilise Google Classroom to access to learning activities and resources electronically. Our blended classroom approach allows students to access class content anytime and anywhere, fostering flexible and active learning environments that promote deep understanding and engagement.
Technology in every classroom
Laptops are supplied to all students to support equitable access to learning. Staff are provided laptops and digital resources for planning and teaching. Our school utilises a high-speed NBN internet connection, a range of electronic communication systems for parent and student engagement, interactive whiteboards, and projectors throughout the school.
Our practical learning spaces are equipped with a range of digital technologies including a laser cutter to support cross curricular learning.
Hybrid Learning Opportunities
As a school which strives to provide opportunities for students based on individual pathways, we have recently established a hybrid learning space. At times, students need to access learning through the services such as Open Access College and through our local networks. Our hybrid learning room will provide student access to a range of online learning opportunities and allows us to share provide opportunities to students beyond our school in turn.
