Student leaders
At Penola High School, student leadership is a core priority. We encourage students to take on leadership roles, participate in decision-making, and contribute positively to the school community. Students take on leadership opportunities in a range of ways including House Captain roles, School Captain roles, participation in Student Voice activities and through leadership in different learning areas. We also acknowledge and celebrate students who lead within our community.
Student Voice
Student Voice serves as a vital link between students, staff, management, and parents, giving students a voice on important matters such as curriculum, pedagogy, advocacy, and fundraising. Different Student Voice groups meet to share information, celebrate achievements and work on implementing key initiatives and student lead change within the school.
Structure of Student Voice
Student Voice is an elective group where students can engage in activities and initiatives based on interest and passion. Students of all ages are invited to participate in activities and share their perspectives on different topics and initiatives within the school.
